Part-Time Deputy Room Leader – Nursery (Ages 2–5) Fire Lead & Deputy Safeguarding Lead £14.50 per hour Rainbow Tree Nursery 75 folders lane Burgess hill RH15 0DYWe are looking for a confident and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our team as a Part-Time Deputy Room Leader working with children aged 2–5 years.
This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take on additional responsibility while working part-time in a supportive nursery environment.About the RoleYou will:- Support the Room Leader in the daily running of the 2–5 room - Take the lead when the Room Leader is not present - Follow and support planning set by the Room Leader - Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment - Support children's learning and development in line with EYFS - Work closely with parents and the wider team The Room Leader is not always on-site, so you will need to feel confident leading the room, supporting staff, and maintaining routines when they are not present, while following their planning and guidance.
Additional Responsibilities
This role also includes:-
Fire Lead – supporting fire safety procedures and drills -
Deputy Safeguarding Lead – supporting safeguarding and child welfare Full training and support will be provided where needed.
Requirements- Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential) - Experience working with children aged 2–5 - Good understanding of EYFS - Confident leading a room when required - Strong teamwork and communication skills - Passion for early years
