Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Cleaning Operative to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within industrial environments, ensuring that facilities are kept in optimal condition. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment. Duties
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks in industrial areas
- Clean and sanitise machinery, floors, and work surfaces to meet health and safety regulations
- Assist with the removal of debris, waste materials, and hazardous substances from work sites
- Support the preparation of work areas for ongoing construction or manufacturing activities
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional cleaning or maintenance
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of cleaning schedules and tasks
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, power tools, or in construction environments is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to industrial cleaning operations
- Willingness to learn new skills related to industrial cleaning and maintenance
- A full driving licence and own vehicle is useful but not essential.
