Shearwell Data Ltd has an opportunity for someone to join our friendly Customer Service team. The position is full time (40 hours per week), working Monday to Friday each week, and involves taking orders by phone and by email from our farming customers for our range of livestock identification products.
You would be working within a team of 16 people in a fast paced office environment based on site at our modern premises in Wheddon Cross on the edge of Exmoor, about 10 miles from Minehead. Full training for the role would be given.
Please note that public transport to Wheddon Cross is very limited so you would need to have access to your own transport to travel to and from work.
Shearwell Data is a family run business which has been at the forefront of providing the farming industry with livestock identification products for over 30 years. We employ over 120 staff, most of whom work at our premises in Wheddon Cross.
We are looking for someone who can offer the following attributes and experience:
* Experience in a customer facing role of some kind (either face to face or by phone)
* A confident and friendly personality who enjoys interaction with people
* Excellent communication skills and confident telephone manner.

* Competence in using standard computer applications and happy to take on an office role.
* Team player qualities ready to contribute and represent the values and traditions of our business.
As a Customer Service Assistant you will need to have a passion for helping people – to be the voice of the business and ready to solve problems and deliver excellence in customer service that matches the quality and reputation of our products.
Salary starts from £27,040 p.a, moving up to £27,580 p.a on successful completion of your probationary period.
We offer 25 days of holiday each year plus Bank Holidays.
Working hours for the role are 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday with one hour for lunch (which is unpaid).
We also open on Saturday mornings between 9-12 and, once you are fully trained, we would need you to be available to work occasionally on a rota basis of approx 1 in every 6 Saturdays.
