Context
We're Inevitable Marketing. One of the fastest-growing email marketing agencies in the UK. Our team have delivered over £100M+ in email revenue for a variety of ecom brands globally.
We run the email channel for fast-growing ecommerce brands. We do one thing and we strive to do it better than anyone.
As we grow and hold our standards, we need account managers who can own service delivery, client results, and the output of a small pod at that level.
Role Definition
This person is the face of Inevitable Marketing for their clients.
They own end-to-end email performance, client results, and the entire service delivery experience for a portfolio of ecommerce brands. This is not a "client services coordinator". This is the retention marketing expert who makes sure every account they touch is executing at the highest level.
This person must be a genuinely strong email marketer. Capable of auditing an account quickly, spotting the strategic gaps, and fixing underperformance before the client has to ask. They own the results, the client relationships, and the output of the copy and design support working under them.
The daily question: "Are my brands getting elite-level email strategy and a flawless client experience. And if not, what am I fixing today?"
Core Responsibilities
- Own email performance across your portfolio: revenue attribution, list growth, deliverability, segmentation quality, automation performance.
- Build and own the campaign calendar for every brand. Planned ahead and strategic, never last minute.
- Turn the data and direction from the team into campaigns and flows that drive sales and retention.
- Drive our creative team, then use our Internal Hub to produce and ship at speed.
- Run your own pod so the work goes out on time and at standard.
- Be the strategic owner for difficult accounts, plateaus, or underperformance: diagnose, rebuild, course-correct.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Act as the trust anchor for your clients: the person they rely on when things aren't working.
- Monitor churn risk and step in before a client ever considers leaving.
- Oversee onboarding for new brands so they're set up for results from day one.
- Partner with the founder on high-stakes accounts.
- Keep a real-time read on client sentiment and performance trends.
KPIs You Are Accountable For
- Email revenue performance across your portfolio: attributed revenue growth, AOV lift, repeat purchase rate.
- Client retention rate.
- List growth and deliverability health.
- Client satisfaction.
- Upsell and expansion opportunities identified.
- Founder involvement in your accounts: near zero.
Day-to-Day Execution
- Build and run campaign calendars across your brands.
- Produce and ship campaigns and flows using the Hub, copy, and design.
- Audit your accounts regularly: flows, campaigns, segmentation, results, and client sentiment.
- Review any at-risk or underperforming account immediately. Diagnose, fix, own the outcome.
- Act as the first point of contact for your clients. Step in, solve it, own it.
- Align with the founder on complex or at-risk accounts.
What We Need Out Of This Role
Two dimensions. You need to be strong at both.
You must be one of the best email marketers we have. You need to:
- Audit any account and immediately spot what's broken, missing, or underperforming.
- Rebuild strategy for challenging accounts: complex funnels, low engagement, deliverability issues.
- Know segmentation, lifecycle marketing, retention mechanics, deliverability, and revenue attribution.
- Take over any account and drive results yourself when needed.
- Client trust and relationship ownership
You must be credible, calm, and steady under pressure. You need to:
- Build trust so strong a client would never churn because of the relationship.
- Handle escalations with clarity and competence, so clients feel heard and confident in the plan.
- Be the person clients want to talk to when things aren't working, not the one they avoid.
What You Need To Know
You must have demonstrable, hands-on experience with:
- Klaviyo
- Shopify
- Email marketing
- Segmentation
- List growth
- Deliverability
- Design
- Copy
If you can't show real work in these, this role isn't for you.
The Deal
- Remote. Work from anywhere, with overlap across UK and US hours.
- Contract. £25,000 to £30,000 a year. Run more brands well, earn more.
- You'll be working with one of the fastest-growing email marketing agencies in the UK.
The Final Check
This role is not a pure people-manager or a client-success coordinator. It must be someone who can:
- Out-strategise anyone on the team when it comes to email.
- Step into any account and own the results when performance is lagging.
- Command client confidence through strong relationship skills.
- Hold a high bar without being told to.
