Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Support Worker to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Support children with autism and other disabilities by implementing tailored learning strategies and behavioral interventions
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons that accommodate individual learning styles and needs
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and families to ensure consistent support and progress tracking
- Help create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages social interaction, independence, and confidence
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, toileting, and mobility to support children’s developmental milestones
- Observe and document student progress, behavior patterns, and any concerns to inform ongoing support plans
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in educational or care settings, especially those with autism or disabilities
- Background in teaching or special education is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience supporting individuals with diverse needs, including toddlers and young children
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, parents, and external professionals
- Knowledge of best practices in special education and inclusive teaching techniques
- Demonstrated ability to remain patient, adaptable, and proactive in dynamic environments
- Comfortable delivering personal care
