VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY – BARK BRIGADE PET SERVICES
I’m looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic volunteer to join me at Bark Brigade Pet Services!
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves dogs and is interested in dog behaviour, animal welfare or working with animals, and would like to gain some real hands-on experience within a professional dog walking business.
The role will involve assisting me on group walks, dog handling and learning how to safely manage different dogs and personalities. You’ll be properly shown and trained throughout, so you don’t need loads of experience already — I’m much more interested in someone who is confident, responsible, keen and willing to learn!
What I can offer: Hands-on experience working with dogs Training and support throughout the role Experience with group walks & dog handling Flexible days and hours to fit around you Full insurance cover while volunteering A chance to build confidence and develop your skills Potential to progress into paid work A reference for future employers, colleges or universities if required
Days & hours are completely flexible and can be discussed. It can be as little or as much as you’re comfortable with, making it ideal alongside college, university or another job.
A driving licence would be preferred, or someone who is working towards driving and would eventually be happy to drive as part of the role. Not driving yet? That’s absolutely fine! Depending on location and availability, I can collect and drop you home for volunteer shifts.
Previous experience with dogs is a bonus, but confidence and a willingness to learn are more important to me.
I really want this to be an opportunity where someone can learn, gain genuine experience and develop their skills, rather than simply helping out for free. There is also the potential for the role to develop into paid work with Bark Brigade in the future.
Interested?
Send me an email at [email protected] with a short cover letter telling me a little about yourself, why you’re interested and what you’re hoping to gain from the experience.
