We are looking for a skilled and creative Junior Designer/Account Executive to join our friendly, professional team at Signs Express (Gloucester) to help us create a wide and exciting range of signage solutions.
Successful candidates will be responsible for designing and quoting bespoke signage required by our customers (both new and existing) and securing the business to take the company to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is familiar with design packages, who also enjoys dealing with customers and would like to pursue a career in this field.
- Location: Signs Express (Gloucester) 19 Eastville Close, Eastern Avenue Trading Estate, Gloucester, GL4 3SJ
- Salary: From £21,000 per year dependent on experience
- Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday
- Travel: A full, clean driving licence and own transport is essential for local travel

About the Role:
- The role will include involvement in all design aspects of our signage projects, including liaising with clients over initial briefs, design creatives, specification and preparation of artwork, through to preparation and production of graphics.
- This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is familiar with Adobe design packages, who would like to develop their career in a creative field.
- Successful candidates will be responsible for designing the bespoke signage and vehicle graphics required by our customers with the ability to show draft sketches and outlines to demonstrate their design concepts.
- The role will involve creating design solutions, generating artwork for approval and assisting in the quotation process.
- Collaborative work with clients, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of one to two years’ experience within the signage industry is essential.
- Experience with computer design packages such as Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience in an Account Executive or Design role.
- Creativity, imagination, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to keep to budgets and time limits for each project.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Layout and typographical skills and knowledge of fonts.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to know when to ask for help.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
