Care is Central is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our new Independent Living Scheme, Meadowsweet Place, in Flitwick, Bedfordshire.
Meadowsweet Place supports people aged 55+ to live independently in their own apartments, with on-site care focused on promoting independence, dignity, choice, and empowerment.
You will join a supportive, hands-on team with a comprehensive training programme.
We are currently recruiting Bank Care Assistants.
Main Duties:
- Provide dignified personal care (bathing, dressing, continence care)
- Support medication administration (training provided)
- Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a safe environment
- Support individuals to access the community
- Assist with moving and handling, including equipment use (training provided)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Liaise with families and healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and report updates to the Team Leader
- Maintain a safe, clean and homely environment
- Work proactively as part of a positive team
Requirements:
- A caring, positive attitude and passion for helping others
- Ability to work well in a team and remain resilient
- Previous care experience helpful but not essential
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)
- Good written and verbal English
- Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS (paid by us)
