Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas heating systems across residential and commercial properties.
This role requires experience and understanding of mechanical systems, plumbing, and safety regulations to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair gas heating systems in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary maintenance to prevent system failures.
- Troubleshoot faults using specialised tools and techniques, ensuring minimal disruption for clients.
- Carry out welding, plumbing, and assembly tasks as required during installation or repair processes.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and carpentry skills to modify or adapt existing systems for optimal performance.
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and inspections carried out.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, safety legislation, and environmental standards.
- Driving license is essential - company vehicle will be provided.
Skills
- Proven experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised mechanical equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to gas heating systems and associated components.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting diagnostics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail to diagnose faults accurately.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple jobs effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality assurance. Pay: £25,998.96-£53,655.76 per year
