Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and approachable manner
- Manage patient appointments, including booking, amending and cancelling appointments efficiently
- Support patients with urgent requests, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate care service
- Handle calls, emails and general patient enquiries as part of the call hub
- Accurately record requests such as home visits and assess urgency following protocols
- Process incoming correspondence, including hospital letters and test results
- Arrange interpreter services where required
- Handle payments for private services and issue receipts
- Support general reception duties, including post handling, deliveries and maintaining tidy work areas
- Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks and act as a chaperone when required

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload effectively
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- IT literacy, including use of appointment systems and electronic patient records

- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and appropriately
