Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized appropriately
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining treatments, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories
- Support infection control protocols by sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean clinical environment
- Manage appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-up communications to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Communicate clearly with patients in English, offering reassurance and guidance before, during, and after treatments
- Organize clinical supplies and equipment to ensure everything is readily available for daily procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in nursing with a focus on dental or healthcare settings
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to provide empathetic support and reassurance
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record-keeping and appointment management
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures in dental practice
