Staff365 are recruiting for an experienced Panel Bender Operator on a 12 week temp - perm basis for our manufacturing client located in Doncaster DN1.

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Panel Bender Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating panel bending machinery (Salvagnini) to shape and form sheet metal and other materials according to precise specifications. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality components used across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, experience with fabrication processes, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Duties
- Set up and calibrate panel bending machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety measures are in place before operation.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to execute precise bending sequences and adjustments.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, or SolidWorks models to determine bending parameters.
- Use hand tools and materials handling equipment to prepare materials for processing.
- Monitor machine operation during production runs, making adjustments as necessary for accuracy and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on panel bending equipment.
- Ensure all finished components meet quality standards by inspecting dimensions and surface finishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with material inventory management and proper storage of tooling and fabricated parts.
- Collaborate with assembly, welding, and fabrication teams to support integrated manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, metalworking, or manufacturing environments, with emphasis on panel bending or similar processes.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial machinery.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or other design tools for interpreting technical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge of milling machines, tooling setups, and materials handling techniques.
- Skilled in using hand tools, welding equipment, and basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with materials handling, warehouse operations, or assembly lines is advantageous.
- Ability to operate CNC or automated machinery following detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and problem-solving skills.
