Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Bedlington, Northumberland
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and committed Senior Residential Support Worker to join our children's residential home in Bedlington. You will support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, lead shifts, mentor staff, and provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new children's home that is currently progressing through the Ofsted registration process. As one of our founding team members, you'll play a key role in shaping the culture, values, and day-to-day operation of the home from the very beginning.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and support the daily operation of the home.
- Provide a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
- Build positive relationships and promote emotional wellbeing.
- Support children with daily routines, education, appointments and activities.
- Complete accurate records and reports.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards.
- Support and mentor Residential Support Workers.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Services.
- Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential children's home.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work a mixture of day shifts, waking night shifts, weekends and sleep-in shifts as part of a rota.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
