We're looking for skilled and motivated HGV Technicians to join our busy workshop in Nottingham. Whether you're an experienced technician looking for your next challenge or wanting to increase your earning potential, this is an excellent opportunity to work with a professional team maintaining a modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles.
With excellent overtime opportunities and performance incentives, realistic annual earnings of £56,000–£80,000 are achievable.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
- Completing routine inspections, safety checks and preventative maintenance.
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections and ensuring DVSA compliance.
- Repairing braking systems, suspension, steering, engines, gearboxes and drivetrain components.
- Completing all work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Recording all work completed using workshop management systems.
- Working safely and following manufacturer procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of DVSA standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
