Part-Time Childminding Assistant
Location: Pinhoe, Exeter
Hours: 8:00am–4:00pm
Days: 2 days per week
Position: Part-time
We are looking for a friendly, caring and reliable Childminding Assistant to join our small and welcoming childcare setting in Pinhoe.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education and have a genuine passion for working with children.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting the childminder with the day-to-day care of children.
- Planning and taking part in fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Supporting children's learning and development through play.
- Helping to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment.
- Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Assisting with meals, snacks and personal care routines where required.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children's emotional wellbeing.
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare policies and procedures.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Helping with tidying, cleaning and maintaining a safe and organised setting.
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education preferred.
- Experience working with children is desirable.
- A caring, patient and friendly nature.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Ability to work well as part of a small team.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and the importance of keeping children safe.
- Willingness to complete any required training and checks, including an enhanced DBS check.

Hours: 8:00am–4:00pm, 2 days per week

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
