Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational ability, and strong communication to ensure timely deliveries and high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a courier van to deliver parcels and goods to various locations the UK.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, receipts, and documentation as required.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
- Valid Full UK driving licence with a maximum of 3 points.
- Experience with driving vehicles, particularly vans.
- Knowledge of UK roads, routes, and traffic regulations within the area.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling of parcels when required.
- Strong communication skills, MUST be able to speak, read and Write English to a good standard and to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
