Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admin/Accounts Assistant to join our finance/administrative team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment, supporting the smooth operation of our financial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely processing of financial transactions. Prior experience with accounting software and a strong organisational ability are essential for this position, although training will be given where needed.
Duties
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Support the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements using accounting software VT Software and Excel.
- Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Input data into accounting systems with high attention to detail to prevent errors.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.
- Support the finance team with administrative tasks related to payroll, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
- Respond to internal and external queries regarding account information.
- Answering telephone calls
Qualifications
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping practices.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of financial principles is preferred but not essential; relevant training will be provided for the right candidate.
