An opportunity to shape and grow a unique late-night venue
Kahiki Soundhouse is a live music and cocktail venue in Manchester's Northern Quarter, bringing together fantastic cocktails, live entertainment, karaoke experiences and memorable nights out.
Having recently opened our doors, we're looking for an exceptional General Manager to become the face of the business and help realise its full potential. The foundations are in place, but we're seeking someone with the drive, energy and vision to help take the venue to the next level.
This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to maintain standards. We're looking for a true operator; someone who thrives in the action, leads from the front and wants to build something special.
What we're looking for
You'll be a charismatic and highly motivated hospitality professional with strong management experience within bars, late-night venues or premium entertainment concepts.
You will:
- Lead by example and never ask your team to do something you wouldn't be prepared to do yourself
- Be adaptable and willing to flex your role depending on the needs of the business, whether that's running a busy bar shift, supporting the floor team, greeting guests at the door or jumping into whatever challenge the night presents
- Have proven experience managing busy bar operations
- Understand the late-night economy and what makes people choose one venue over another
- Be a natural leader who can inspire, motivate and develop teams
- Have bags of personality, confidence and charisma, with the ability to win hearts and minds
- Understand the importance of atmosphere setting, guest engagement and delivering an exceptional customer journey from start to finish
- Be commercially minded, with a track record of driving sales, building trade and creating reasons for guests to return
- Take pride in being visible on the floor, interacting with guests and setting the tone for the entire venue
- Be proactive in identifying opportunities to grow the business and build a loyal customer base
- Maintain high standards across service, compliance, cleanliness and presentation
Your responsibilities
- Be the face of Kahiki Soundhouse and build strong relationships with guests, performers, promoters and the local community
- Lead, inspire and develop the venue team, creating a positive and accountable culture
- Drive sales growth and work with the directors to implement ideas that increase trade
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer experience and ensure every guest leaves wanting to return
- Recruit, train and retain exceptional team members
- Ensure the venue is operating at its absolute best every night, from the atmosphere and music levels to service standards and cleanliness
- Oversee stock control, licensing compliance and labour management, whilst remaining an operational presence on the floor
Why join Kahiki Soundhouse?
This is an opportunity to genuinely influence the direction of the business, implement your own ideas and make your mark on a venue with significant potential.
If you're an energetic, people-focused operator who loves live music, fantastic cocktails and creating memorable guest experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
