Are you looking to start or expand your career in catering and hospitality? We’re looking for a cook to join our team, preparing hot lunches and helping with our regular snack menu throughout the week.
You will ideally have previous kitchen experience in catering for small groups and will be expected to independently plan, order supplies, prepare and cook meals and snacks for up to 40 children at a time, ranging in age from 9 months to 5 years. Working in a communal kitchen at the Community Centre you will also clear away and help to maintain a clean and efficient working environment.
Safety is paramount to us so you should have an excellent awareness of food safety, hygiene and allergens. A level 2 or above in food safety is required, although training can be provided.

The hours are from 10.30am until 1.30pm from Monday to Friday during Nottingham City term time, based at the Kingswood Community Centre on Lambourne Drive in Wollaton. The contract is initially for one academic year from September 2026 to July 2027, but it may well be extended, dependant on demand.
