As our NPD Kitchen Assistant, you'll play a key role in bringing exciting new products to life.
Working closely with our NPD team, you'll support the journey from initial concept through to product launch, helping to create samples, prepare products for tasting panels, organise ingredients, and keep our development kitchen running smoothly. You'll be at the heart of innovation, helping turn great ideas into products that reach our customers' shelves.
No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to learn about food development, product innovation, and the fast-paced world of fresh produce.
Based at Elm, Wisbech
08.30 - 17.00 Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week
What you'll be doing:
No two days are the same in this role! You'll be:
- Keeping our development kitchen organised, stocked, and ready for action.
- Creating and preparing product samples for customers, tastings, and innovation sessions.
- Working alongside our NPD team to bring exciting new product ideas to life.
- Sourcing ingredients, organising samples, and supporting product trials.
- Helping with product testing, benchmarking, and recipe development.
- Supporting customer visits and showcasing the great work happening at Fenmarc.
- Completing key administration and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene throughout the kitchen and development process.
What you'll have:
Essential
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A full UK driving licence.
- An understanding of food hygiene and safe food preparation practices.
- Confidence following recipes and instructions accurately.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude.
- The ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfortable working in both a kitchen and factory environment.
Desirable
- Food Safety Level 2 qualification (or willingness to achieve this in role).
- Any food-related qualification.
- Previous food manufacturing or food industry experience.
- Previous experience within an NPD environment.
- A passion for food, cooking, and trying new ideas.
- Experience maintaining kitchen standards and organisation.

Pay: Up to £28,879.50 per year
