Pective Ltd is a UK-based construction company providing roofing, repair, maintenance and related building services. Due to continued business demand, we are looking to recruit a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our construction team.

## Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, preparing and installing roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. The role requires practical roofing knowledge, safe working practices, accurate measuring and cutting skills, and the ability to work with supervisors, clients, labourers and other construction professionals.
## Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Inspect roof structures to identify damage, defects, leaks and required repair works.
* Carry out roof repair, replacement, maintenance and installation works in line with project requirements.
* Measure, cut and fit roofing materials accurately around chimneys, vents, gutters, walls and other roof features.
* Prepare roof surfaces by smoothing rough areas and making them suitable for shingles, tiles, slates or waterproofing materials.
* Install and repair roof coverings, tiles, slates, shingles, waterproof membranes, insulation, vapour barriers and ventilation systems.
* Assist with the installation of roof-related systems, including insulation and solar energy system support where required.
* Estimate labour, material requirements and likely repair costs for roofing jobs.
* Restock and organise roofing materials, including clay, cement, tiles, slates, membranes and other construction supplies.
* Safely assemble, inspect and use ladders, scaffolding and other access equipment as required.
* Follow site instructions and coordinate roofing tasks with supervisors, labourers, clients and other trades.
* Report job progress, site issues, material shortages, defects and safety concerns to the supervisor.
* Provide clients with basic updates and explain recommended roofing services where appropriate.
* Review warranty information and assist with completing relevant job paperwork.
* Maintain clean, safe and organised working areas during and after roofing works.
* Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe working at height, PPE use and site risk controls.
## Candidate Requirements
* Previous practical experience as a Roofer, Roof Tiler, Slater or similar construction roofing role.
* Ability to inspect roof conditions and carry out repair and installation work safely.
* Good knowledge of roofing materials, tools, site safety and working at height procedures.
* Ability to measure, cut, fit and install roofing materials accurately.
* Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors or site managers.
* Good communication skills when dealing with colleagues, supervisors and clients.
* Physically fit and able to work outdoors and at height.
* Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining safe working standards.
* Relevant roofing or construction training is desirable.
* CSCS card or willingness to obtain one is desirable.
