Part Time Kennel Assistant
We are looking to hire a part time Kennel Assistant 32 hours week working five days over a seven day period to include alternate weekend working. They need to be dedicated and fully committed to providing an excellent standard of care to our rescue dogs with complex needs
The successful candidate must have:
1 year minimum experience working with rescue dogs who have complex needs
Be able to follow instructions rigidly being mindful of health & safety for all
A genuine interest in canine welfare is essential
Team player skills
Practical hands-on, can-do and a hard-working approach to work
Excellent time-keeping and attendance
Current Manual Drivers licence
Duties will include:
- Handling dogs with behavioral issues
- Caring for dogs with a confident, patient and kind approach
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kennels
- Assisting in administering appropriate health care treatments
- Working with challenging dogs to gain their trust and confidence
- Liaising with members of the public who express an interest in re-homing a rescued dog
