We have a vacancy for a Tumble Tots Class Assistant to join our fantastic team starting in September.
Tumble Tots is a gymnastic based program for babies, toddler and preschoolers running 45 minutes sessions coaching children how to climb, balance, agility skills and the importance of being active.
This is a permanent position working term time only (around 38 weeks per year):
- Tuesdays in Blackrod, Bolton (9.30 til 1.45 pm)
In time, more hours to follow as the company grows.
The candidate should be;
- Fun and enthusiastic
- 18 years old or above
- Have excellent communication skills
- Experience working with children would be helpful but not essential
- Reliable
The role is to support and assist the Leader during the sessions and to contribute as a team member.
Duties:
- Assist with the unloading/loading of the equipment from the Tumble Tots van (planks, trestles, foam, ladders, slides etc)
- Assist with the safe setting up of the stations as directed
- Ensure that both children and parents are having fun and participate fully in a safe and challenging environment
- Support the Leader during circle time by ensuring the music is on cue and stickers, birthday cards etc are ready
- Join in the action songs and rhymes
- Ensure that the children on your activity station understand what to do and support and encourage children in a safe and challenging environment
- Any other support duties as requested by the Leader or franchisee.
- Full training provided
The job requires a very enthusiastic person who enjoys working as part of a small team and has a positive "can-do" attitude and pro-active approach to support both children and adults attending our sessions. This role is very physical as you will be setting up equipment, supporting children in gymnastic type activities and lots of lifting.
We are a small team so must have a willingness to travel to other locations to cover for staff absences.
