Unite Fitness is a functional fitness gym based in Auckley, delivering high-quality group personal training sessions.
Our training combines strength and conditioning with functional movement, including squats, deadlifts, gymnastics-based push and pull movements, and elements of Olympic weightlifting.

The Role
We are looking for a passionate and reliable coach to deliver high-quality group training sessions while contributing to our supportive and community-driven environment.
Initially, this role will involve covering up to two half-days per week, with flexibility in shift patterns. There is clear opportunity for increased hours and responsibility over time.
You will receive structured onboarding, including shadowing with our owners and coaching team, along with ongoing support and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured, engaging, and safe group personal training sessions
- Confidently demonstrate and coach functional movements
- Provide clear, effective coaching cues to improve member performance
- Adapt sessions to suit a wide range of abilities and individual circumstances
- Build strong relationships with members and contribute to a positive gym culture
- Maintain session structure, flow, and time management
- Uphold the inclusive, welcoming environment Unite Fitness is known for
Over time, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities such as:
- Programming support
- Competition preparation
- Member check-ins and progress tracking

Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of functional fitness coaching experience
- Strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles
- Experience coaching compound movements (e.g. squats, deadlifts)
- Comfortable coaching gymnastics-based movements
- Olympic weightlifting experience (desirable)
- High attention to detail – we value doing the small things well
Qualifications
- Level 2 Gym Instructor (Required)
- Level 3 Personal Trainer (Desirable)
- CrossFit Level 1 (Preferred)
- First Aid (desirable – support can be provided to achieve this)
- Valid insurance required (self-employed role)
Development & Progression
- Structured onboarding including shadowing sessions
- Ongoing coaching development and mentorship
- Regular feedback and support from owners/head coach
- Opportunity to increase hours and take on additional responsibilities
