Overview
We are looking for a dental nurse for Fri (8 30 am- 6 30 pm) and Sat (8 30 am - 3 30 pm), start in August, fully private practice.
Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Providing exceptional patient care by offering support, reassurance, and clear communication throughout treatments.
- Ensuring the sterilisation and organisation of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems, including updating treatment notes and scheduling appointments.
- Supporting patients with post-treatment advice and answering any queries they may have regarding their oral health.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic clinical environment at all times.
- Adhering to infection control protocols and health & safety guidelines diligently.
- Communicating effectively with team members to ensure seamless clinic operations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or similar role within a dental practice or healthcare setting.
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate support to diverse patient groups.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic patient records and appointment scheduling.
- Knowledge of current infection control standards and health & safety regulations in dental care.
