YMCA Robin Hood Group is looking for an energetic team player with a background in property acquisition and management. You will be responsible for negotiating new and renewed leases, purchasing homes, managing budgets and ensuring our homes are compliant as well as providing the right environment to support young people’s development.
The role involves working with the Chief Operating Officer as well as all our services and Departments within the Group to ensure that the property needs are met, through delivery of strategic goals.
Working to relevant legislative standards as well as meeting our property standards, this role will be instrumental in reviewing and developing operational processes to improve property performance and support the growth of our supported housing and other community development services.
Working largely autonomously, this role also has responsibility for maintaining our relationships with landlords and other stakeholders.

Experience in property acquisition, appraisal or development

Experience negotiating heads of terms and commercial lease provisions.

Knowledge of planning, licensing, property compliance and acquisition due diligence.

Project-management and financial-appraisal capability.

Strong external relationship, negotiation and multidisciplinary coordination skills.

Understanding of supported-housing accommodation and mobilisation requirements.

Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively with landlords, solicitors, contractors and internal teams.
Our ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in property management/surveying, supported by practical experience and knowledge in the property sector. You will have a solid understanding of property/housing law and be driven by your own personal commitment to high quality property to ensure everyone has a safe place to call home. You will be motivated and organised, with the ability to multi-task across a number of projects.
It goes without saying you will be an excellent communicator who is able to build trusted and long-lasting partnerships. You have excellent reporting writing and presentation skills as well as the ability to engage people at all levels.
It is essential you have a full driving licence and access to your own car as travel between our new and existing sites is required. This would be on a weekly basis where you would mainly be expected to travel across Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.
