Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure their comfort and dignity
- Support individuals in developing and following personalized care plans tailored to their specific needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster positive relationships and enhance quality of life
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
- Maintain clear communication with team members, family members, and healthcare providers to coordinate care effectively
- Use IT systems to update care records, track progress, and document any changes or concerns promptly
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings when required, ensuring adherence to road safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid driving license with reliable access to a vehicle is preferred for home care roles involving transportation
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for clear documentation and interaction
- Basic IT skills for updating electronic care records and communicating with team members
- Strong communication skills to build trustful relationships with clients and colleagues
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
