As a Assistant Estimator, you'll play an important role in helping us secure and deliver highways maintenance and improvement projects that make a real difference across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Work Winning Team in Basingstoke, where you'll learn from experienced professionals, develop valuable commercial and technical skills, and build the foundations for a rewarding career.
What you'll be doing
Working alongside operational, commercial and bid professionals, you'll help develop competitive and innovative solutions for local authority highways contracts.
You'll support the team by:
- Assisting with the development of pricing and cost estimates
- Reviewing project information and tender documentation
- Identifying risks, opportunities and delivery considerations
- Supporting bid submissions and tender responses
- Working with operational teams to develop practical delivery solutions
- Contributing to projects that maintain and improve local highway networks
Who we're looking for
We're interested in hearing from graduates who:
- Have a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business or a related discipline
- Enjoy analysing information and solving problems
- Are curious about how infrastructure projects are delivered
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Can think commercially and pay attention to detail
- Are keen to learn and develop a career in estimating, bidding and work winning
No previous estimating experience is required. Many successful Estimators begin their careers in operational, engineering, commercial or project environments before developing specialist estimating skills.
