Job Summary
Part-Time Bookkeeper
Location: Boston, Lincolnshire
Hours: Part-time – 3 days per week
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our accounts team.
This is an important role within a well-established family-run business, working closely with the company directors to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our accounts.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys keeping things organised, and is happy working as part of a small, friendly team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Sage accounting software.
- Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciling bank accounts and ensuring all financial records are up to date.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring company procedures are followed.
- Liaising with external accountants and assisting with financial reporting when required.
- Supporting the directors with general finance and administration tasks.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous bookkeeping experience in a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of Sage accounting software.
- A sound understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while also working well as part of a small team.
- A friendly, professional manner with good communication skills.
