Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role involves various tasks related to warehouse operations, including stocking, picking and packing, as well as shipping and receiving goods. A background in warehouse management systems and materials handling is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
- Order picking
- Put aways
- Booking stock in to the system
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation
- Perform stocking duties, ensuring shelves are replenished as needed
- Execute picking and packing tasks accurately for outgoing shipments
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading goods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, demonstrating mechanical knowledge when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred
- Proficiency in operating forklifts; relevant certification is an advantage
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 is beneficial
- Strong skills in materials handling, including heavy lifting (up to 25 kg)
- Ability to perform tasks related to construction or mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and inventory management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
