About STORIES Parfums®
STORIES Parfums® is an independent luxury niche fragrance house based in Northern Ireland, creating fine fragrance Eau de Parfum, botanical bodycare and home fragrance that connect people to memory, emotion and personal story.
As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Ecommerce, Growth & Retention Manager to join our team and take ownership of our direct-to-consumer ecommerce performance.
The Role
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role with responsibility for growing online revenue across ecommerce, conversion, customer acquisition and retention.
You will manage and optimise the STORIES online customer journey — from first visit and first purchase through to repeat purchase and long-term customer value.
Working closely with the Founder & CEO, internal team and specialist agency partners, you will use customer behaviour, ecommerce data and testing to identify where our biggest growth opportunities lie and turn those insights into action.
Key ResponsibilitiesEcommerce & Conversion
- Take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the STORIES ecommerce store.
- Manage online merchandising, collections, product positioning, pricing and promotions.
- Continuously review and improve the online customer journey.
- Identify opportunities to increase conversion rate and average order value.
- Plan and implement A/B tests across landing pages, product pages, offers and customer journeys.
- Ensure new product launches, campaigns and seasonal activity are executed effectively online.
- Monitor site and customer behaviour to identify friction and opportunities for improvement.
Growth & Customer Acquisition
- Work closely with paid media and specialist agency partners to improve customer acquisition and return on marketing investment.
- Monitor traffic, conversion, customer acquisition cost, ROAS and revenue performance.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue across acquisition, conversion and repeat purchase.
- Ensure marketing activity is connected to clear commercial objectives.
- Turn performance data into practical recommendations and priorities.
CRM, Email & Retention
- Own the customer retention and lifecycle marketing strategy.
- Develop and optimise email campaigns and automated customer journeys.
- Build meaningful customer segmentation.
- Develop strategies to increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value.
- Create reactivation, cross-sell and replenishment opportunities.
- Use customer behaviour and purchase data to improve the relevance and effectiveness of communications.
Reporting & Performance
Track and report on the key metrics driving ecommerce growth, including:
- Online revenue
- Conversion rate
- Average order value
- Customer acquisition cost
- Return on advertising spend
- Repeat purchase rate
- Customer lifetime value
- Email/CRM revenue
- New versus returning customer performance
You won't simply report what happened. We want you to understand why it happened, what we can learn from it and what we should do next.
About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong ecommerce knowledge with commercial instinct and a genuine interest in customer behaviour.
You may currently be an Ecommerce Manager, Ecommerce & Digital Manager, Growth Manager, CRM/Retention Manager or working in a similar commercially focused digital role.
You should have:
- Proven experience in ecommerce, digital growth or a closely related role.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce customer journeys and conversion optimisation.
- Experience working with ecommerce platforms and analytics.
- Experience with email marketing, CRM and customer lifecycle strategies.
- Understanding of paid digital acquisition and performance marketing.
- Confidence analysing data and translating it into commercial action.
- Experience testing and optimising digital campaigns and customer journeys.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- A proactive, commercially focused approach and willingness to take ownership.
Experience within beauty, fragrance, luxury, fashion, lifestyle or premium consumer brands would be advantageous but is not essential.
Who This Role Will Suit
STORIES is an independent, founder-led and growing business.
This role will suit someone who enjoys having real responsibility and wants to see the direct impact of their work.
We are looking for someone who naturally asks:
What's working? What's not? Why? What should we test next? Where is the next growth opportunity?
You should be equally comfortable analysing performance, improving a customer journey, working with agency partners and rolling up your sleeves to get things implemented.
This is not simply a role for maintaining an ecommerce website. It is an opportunity to own and grow an important commercial channel within the business.
Why Join STORIES?
You'll be joining STORIES at an important stage in our development, with the opportunity to play a central role in the next phase of the brand's growth.
You'll work closely with the Founder & CEO and have meaningful ownership of ecommerce, growth and customer retention.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to build, influence and make a measurable commercial impact.
