Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks under the guidance of chefs, including basic chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
- Support the cooking process by ensuring all kitchen stations are stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure all food waste is disposed of properly and that the kitchen remains hygienic at all times.
- Support the organization of storage areas by rotating stock and ensuring proper labeling.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold sanitation standards in accordance with hospitality industry requirements.
- Assist with serving food during busy service periods when needed, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Prior hospitality or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with service standards.
- Strong understanding of cleanliness, hygiene practices, and safety protocols in a kitchen setting.
