The Role
You'll create a great experience for every guest, taking orders and serving drinks with warmth, confidence and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, friendly and efficient service, creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including hot drinks, to the highest quality standards.
- Greet customers, take orders, make recommendations and respond confidently to guest enquiries.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and drink menus, promotions and daily specials.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation across the bar and service areas.
- Restock and replenish bar supplies, ensuring products are stored, rotated and displayed correctly.
- Process customer payments accurately and follow all cash handling and till procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Comply with all licensing laws, age verification procedures (e.g. Challenge 25), food hygiene, allergen, health and safety, and Environmental Health requirements.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and service standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Support opening, closing and cleaning procedures, completing all required checks and records accurately.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the management team.

Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience working in a bar, café or hospitality environment.
- Barista skills
- Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems and handling cash accurately.
- A friendly, positive and proactive approach with excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment.
- A reliable, flexible and team-oriented approach.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and age verification procedures (e.g. Challenge 25), or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and health and safety requirements, or willingness to undertake training.
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
