Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our storage facility, ensuring that materials are loaded, unloaded, and stored accurately. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal applicant will have previous warehouse experience and be proficient in operating forklift equipment, with the ability to handle heavy loads and assist with shipping and receiving tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Handle materials carefully, adhering to safety standards during lifting, stacking, and moving items.
- Support overall warehouse organisation by maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift licence with proven experience in operating various types of forklift trucks.
- Previous warehouse experience is essential.
- Strong materials handling skills, including load & unload procedures.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy in stock management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks effectively.
