The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities
- Perform MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.
- Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
- Identify any defects or issues that may affect vehicle performance or safety and document findings accurately.
- Provide clear explanations to customers regarding test results and any necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to testing schedules.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
