We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Business Support Officer to join our friendly and supportive team, contributing to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The post sits within Central Team 5, supporting the Fostering Service.
You may be highly experienced in administration or looking to build on your existing skills—either way, there’s no better place to do this than with us. The post is based at County Hall, Preston (PR1 8XB); however, we operate a hybrid working model, combining home and office working. Therefore, you will need a suitable workspace at home and a reliable broadband connection.

Passion – You will be passionate about delivering a great service and experience. You will be motivated to get things right first time, seek support where needed, and build on the skills you have developed.
Knowledge and Experience – Ideally, you will have experience of working in an administrative setting, along with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and databases.
Great Communication – You will communicate regularly with managers, social workers, families, members of the public, and colleagues. The ability to convey information clearly and listen to individual needs is essential.
