St Martha’s Hospital is a Mental Health and Nursing Unit located in Ringwood for Men and Women aged 55+ with a diagnosed Mental Health condition offering exceptional nurturing care and support within an In-patient High Support Service. We are part of the St Magnus Community.
We are currently looking to recruit a enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeping Assistant.
This role is Full-Time working 42 hours per week, the shift patterns are 08:00 - 20:00 or 08.00-16.00. There is a requirement to work every other weekend.
The role would include:
- Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper to company standards. Cleaning responsibilities can be anywhere within the Unit.
- Ensure all daily and deep clean schedules are adhered to.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is stored safely and used correctly. Report any defects to Head Housekeeper.
- To be sensitive to the privacy and dignity of the service users and their individual needs.
- To comply with COSHH regulations.
- To adhere to infection control policies at all times.
- To ensure correct use of PPE.
- To ensure all necessary documentation is completely daily.
- To carry out any other domestic related duties as requested by the Head Housekeeper.
- To ensure correct cleaning products are used for specific areas and follow the colour coded systems within the unit.
- To ensure the trolley’s are restocked at the end of the shift and cleaning cupboards are kept clean and tidy.
- To ensure good communication between the post holder, the Head Housekeeper, the ward teams and the service users.
Applicants must have a satisfactory DBS and 2 satisfactory references.
