We are a growing UK ecommerce business looking for a friendly, patient and reliable Customer Service Assistant to help us look after our customers properly.
This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, can stay calm when dealing with unhappy customers, and knows how to turn a frustrating situation into a positive experience.
You will be the voice of the business, so we need someone warm, clear, empathetic and confident when speaking to customers by email, live chat and social messages.
What you’ll be doing
Responding to customer emails, messages and enquiries in a friendly and helpful way
Helping customers with order questions, delivery updates, returns, exchanges and product queries
Dealing with unhappy or disappointed customers calmly and professionally
Showing empathy and understanding, even when the customer is frustrated
Finding practical solutions to customer issues
Keeping customers updated so they feel looked after
Working with the wider team to resolve order, stock or delivery problems
Spotting common customer issues and helping us improve the customer experience
Maintaining a positive, friendly tone that reflects the business
What we’re looking for

Confidence dealing with complaints and difficult conversations

Comfortable using email, live chat, Shopify or similar systems

The ideal person
You understand that customer service is not just about replying quickly. It is about making people feel heard, respected and helped.
You do not take complaints personally. You can listen, respond with care, and focus on finding the best outcome for both the customer and the business.
You are naturally warm, patient and professional, and you know how important tone is when speaking to customers online.
Experience
Previous customer service experience is preferred, especially in ecommerce, retail, clothing or consumer products, but attitude is more important than experience.
