Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Repair Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and restoring concrete structures across various sites. The successful candidate will be experienced and knowledgeable in the use of Sika and Fosroc materials. This role requires a practical individual with a strong understanding of construction techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on interesting projects across the North West and occasionally Nationwide, and develop specialised skills within the construction and repair industry.
Responsibilities
- Carry out concrete repairs on a variety of structures, including high-rises, car parks, and balconies.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or removing defective concrete prior to repairs.
- Mix and apply concrete or specialised repair materials accurately according to specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with masonry related repair projects.
- Conduct visual and hammer test inspections to assess damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials using heavy lifting techniques or mechanical aids.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- CSCS qualification.
- Proven experience in concrete repair, masonry, plastering, or related construction disciplines is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other relevant machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to repair works is highly desirable.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures within construction environments is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks over extended periods in various weather conditions.
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills and attention to detail.

Pay: £14.97-£18.54 per hour
