Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has strong knife skills, a deep understanding of sushi preparation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty rolls to menu standards
- Ensure freshness and proper storage of fish and ingredients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Strong work ethic and attention to quality
- Openness to training and learning our methods
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist with inventory management and ingredient preparation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Interact professionally with guests when working at the sushi bar
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook
- Strong knife and fish-cutting skills
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi techniques
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hour or even working Alone
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with high-volume service
- Creative menu development
- Omakase or specialty roll experience
Schedule

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay: starts at minimum, negotiable based on experience / monthly basis to (£29,000 to £34,000) p/a base on experience
