We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Deputy Manager to support the delivery of high-quality community care services. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of outreach healthcare services, ensuring safe, effective, and responsive care for the people we support. You will play a key role in workforce management, quality assurance, safeguarding, and continuous service improvement while providing hands-on leadership to care teams operating in the community.
About the Role
The Deputy Manager is responsible for supporting operational excellence across the service, ensuring care is delivered safely, compassionately, and in line with regulatory requirements. You will provide leadership to coordinators and senior carers, support care planning and auditing processes, and help maintain a positive culture focused on quality outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Line manage Care Coordinators and Senior Carers.
- Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operational leadership.
- Oversee staff rotas and resolve crisis shift cover requirements.
- Complete actuals and workforce allocation reviews.
- Audit care documentation and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct client reviews and risk assessments.
- Support staff induction, onboarding, and ongoing development.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, families, care staff, and external professionals.
- Support safeguarding investigations and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and CQC regulations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high-quality care delivery.
- Assist with service growth and operational performance objectives.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a supervisory, senior, or management role within domiciliary care, outreach services, supported living, or community healthcare.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and person-centred care.
- Experience managing teams and supporting workforce performance.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and respond effectively to operational challenges.
- Confident using care management systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Pay: From £15.20 per hour
