We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving and possess excellent communication skills. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers while maintaining a high standard of service. This role requires heavy lifting and the ability to navigate various routes efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of products during transit.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes, making adjustments as necessary for efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely dispatch of goods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence is required; a commercial driving licence is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
