Working Hours: 9:00am–5:30pm / 8:00am–4:30pm

About the Company
GB Maintenance Solutions Ltd is a multi-trade property maintenance company based in Morden, Surrey. We provide reactive and planned maintenance services to residential and commercial properties across London, Surrey and the surrounding M25 areas.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Reactive Maintenance Drainage Engineer to join our existing team.
This is a mobile engineering role, carrying out reactive drainage and maintenance works for a range of residential, commercial and property management clients.
The Role
As a Reactive Maintenance Drainage Engineer, you will attend a variety of drainage and maintenance call-outs, diagnose issues and carry out effective repairs and remedial works.
The role will involve working independently on site, communicating professionally with customers and clients, identifying the cause of problems and providing practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend reactive drainage and maintenance call-outs across London, Surrey and the M25 area
- Diagnose and clear blocked drains, toilets, sinks, pipes and other drainage systems
- Operate high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) equipment
- Use electro-mechanical drain cleaning machines
- Carry out CCTV drainage surveys and identify faults and defects
- Undertake drain repairs, including patch repairs and drain lining
- Carry out leak detection and investigation
- Undertake general plumbing and associated maintenance works
- Identify drainage defects and recommend appropriate remedial works
- Provide customers and clients with professional advice on required works
- Prepare quotations for additional works where required
- Complete job sheets, reports and photographic records
- Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant health & safety requirements
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a high standard
Essential Experience & Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in drainage, plumbing or reactive maintenance
- Proven experience working with high-pressure water jetting equipment
- Experience using electro-mechanical drain cleaning equipment
- Experience carrying out CCTV drainage surveys
- Good knowledge of drainage systems and fault diagnosis
- Experience with drain lining and patch repairs
- Plumbing experience
- Experience with leak detection
- Ability to identify issues and provide appropriate solutions
- Experience producing quotations for remedial works
- Good understanding of health & safety
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage reactive call-outs effectively
- Professional and customer-focused approach
Desirable
- Relevant drainage or plumbing qualifications
- Experience working within commercial and residential properties
- Experience working for facilities management or property maintenance companies
- Experience using drainage survey/reporting software
- Confined space or other relevant industry training
