About Us
Woodcraft Joinery London is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke staircases, windows, doors, kitchens, fitted wardrobes, and custom joinery products. We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / CAD-CAM Specialist to join our growing team and support the production of high-quality bespoke joinery projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for the manufacture of bespoke staircases, windows, doors, kitchens, wardrobes, and other joinery products.
- Produce CAD drawings and CAM files for CNC machining.
- Generate nesting layouts and material optimization plans to minimize waste.
- Interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications, and site survey information.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and workshop staff to ensure accurate production.
- Prepare machining strategies, tooling requirements, and cutting lists.
- Program and operate CNC machinery as required.
- Conduct quality checks on components before manufacture and assembly.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and revision control.
- Assist in developing production methods and improving workshop processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer within the joinery, woodworking, cabinetry, or furniture manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Experience programming components for staircases, windows, doors, kitchens, wardrobes, and bespoke furniture.
- Good understanding of woodworking machinery, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines.
- Knowledge of staircase construction and manufacturing.
- Experience with timber windows and doors production.
- Understanding of bespoke furniture and fitted joinery manufacturing.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced bespoke joinery workshop.
