Complex Needs Teaching Assistant – Wrexham
Excell Supply are recruiting caring, patient, and dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Wrexham.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of complex learning, physical, medical, and communication needs, helping them access education in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
The Role
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex additional learning needs.
- Assist pupils with their educational, social, emotional, and personal development.
- Support pupils with communication difficulties, sensory needs, and physical disabilities where required.
- Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to deliver personalised learning and support plans.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning activities.
- Help create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs, additional learning needs, or disabilities is advantageous.
- A patient, compassionate, and understanding approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
