Join Our Outsourced Sales Team
Are you ready to start a career in sales and marketing with real variety and plenty of room to progress? At Hayward Miller, we are looking for an organised, capable Sales and Marketing Assistant to join our team in Thetford, Norfolk. We are a small, close-knit team that is expanding, and we move into a larger office next month, so it is a good time to join and develop with us.
As a leading outsourced sales company, we work with a varied portfolio of clients across many sectors. This junior role is a hands-on introduction to how effective campaigns are planned, written and measured, supporting work for national and international clients from day one.
The Role
Working closely with our marketing and telemarketing teams, you will support the day to day running of client campaigns. What matters most is that you write clearly, learn quickly, and are happy keeping several tasks moving at once.
You will start by supporting live campaigns and learning our processes, with training and mentoring throughout, and take on more responsibility as you gain experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing email and social media outreach campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram
- Keeping email deliverability healthy so campaigns reach the right inboxes
- Helping to prepare and check campaign data and contact lists for accuracy
- Carrying out market research under the guidance of the Marketing Manager
- Drafting and proofreading copy with support from the wider team
- Scheduling posts and keeping campaign records up to date
- Helping to track campaign performance and pulling together reports
- Keeping work for several clients organised and on schedule
- General administrative, marketing and sales support across the team
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Strong written English with a good eye for detail
- Well organised, with the ability to manage several tasks at once
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, mainly Word and Excel, and happy to learn new systems
- A genuine interest in sales and marketing, and a willingness to learn
- Reliable, professional and a good team player
Desirable (not essential):
- A UK driving licence and own transport. The office has free on-site parking but is not on a direct public transport route, so getting here easily matters
- Any hands-on experience with social media, copywriting or design tools such as Canva, whether from work, study or your own projects
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude for tasks like writing, research or organising your work
- Some understanding of what makes sales effective, and how good marketing supports it
What We Offer
- Starting salary of £26,500 for full-time hours, or pro-rata for reduced hours
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week), or reduced hours (9am to 3pm) for the right candidate
