Bar Supervisor – Friki Tiki

About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and experienced Bar Supervisor to join the team at Friki Tiki.
As a Bar Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the venue, taking responsibility for shifts, supporting the management team and ensuring our staff and customers receive a high standard of service.
You will be a hands-on leader who is confident making decisions, managing a busy bar and keeping the team motivated during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the running of shifts, ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Lead, motivate and support the team throughout each shift.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure staff are working to the required standards.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, presentation and venue standards.
- Work closely with the General Manager and management team to ensure the venue runs successfully.
- Assist the manager with stock ordering, deliveries and stock control, ensuring appropriate levels are maintained.
- Monitor stock levels throughout shifts and communicate any shortages or issues to management.
- Complete opening and closing duties and ensure all relevant procedures are followed.
- Deal confidently with customer queries, complaints and difficult situations.
- Ensure licensing, health & safety and company procedures are followed at all times.
- Support the training and development of new and existing team members.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to management where necessary.
- Help maintain an organised, positive and professional working environment.
- Support the management team with events, promotions and busy trading periods.
- Be a positive role model for the team and lead by example.
What We’re Looking For

- Has previous experience in a bar, hospitality or supervisory role.
- Is confident leading a team in a busy environment.
- Has excellent communication and people-management skills.
- Can remain calm and organised under pressure.
- Is reliable, responsible and able to use their own initiative.
- Has a strong understanding of customer service and hospitality standards.
- Is comfortable dealing with staff issues and customer complaints.
- Has good attention to detail, particularly around stock, cleanliness and venue standards.
- Is flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and busy periods.
- Brings a positive attitude and genuinely enjoys working in hospitality.
