What will you be doing
As an Electrical Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring electrical systems are maintained, reliable, and compliant. Working closely with your team and wider site operations, you’ll deliver both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You’ll be trusted to interpret maintenance requirements, contribute to corrective actions, and support installation activities in line with established regulations and designs. This is a role where no two days are the same requiring a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to teamwork and safety.
- Deliver routine and preventative maintenance activities as guided by your Team Leader
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out corrective work to minimise downtime
- Support electrical installations in line with IET Wiring Regulations and approved designs
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure safe, timely delivery of work
Who are we looking for
You’re a qualified and capable Electrical Technician who thrives in a hands-on environment. With a solid technical foundation and strong practical experience, you bring both competence and confidence when working across a range of electrical systems. You enjoy being part of a team, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a recognised electrical apprenticeship or technical training, along with qualifications aligned to Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and certification to the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations. Your experience will include working with a variety of electrical systems such as distribution, lighting, control systems, and more, alongside a strong understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Essential qualifications include a relevant apprenticeship or technical training, Level 3 qualification (or equivalent), and 18th Edition (BS7671) certification
- Proven hands-on experience across electrical maintenance, installations, and fault-finding on diverse equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, including Electricity at Work Regulations
- Experience within a nuclear or highly regulated environment would be advantageous
