Nursery Manager
- Location: Leicester (Brand-New, Purpose-Built Refurbishment)
- Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience) + Performance Bonuses & Benefits
- Expected Start Date: Autumn 2026
The Opportunity
Are you a warm, inspiring Early Years leader ready for a joyful new chapter in your career?
We are absolutely thrilled to launch our brand-new, state-of-the-art 65-place nursery, designed to offer exceptional care and education. While this specific setting is brand new, you will be fully backed by our well-established group of nurseries which come with a proven track record of success, stability, and deep educational expertise.
As our founding Nursery Manager, you get the wonderful opportunity to shape the culture from day one, welcome your very own dream team, and build a creative, gentle learning environment. If you love early years education and want a role where you can truly make a difference, we would love to welcome you to our family.
Your Role & Journey with Us
Instead of leaving you to figure it out alone, we believe in a collaborative approach. You will enjoy the autonomy and creative freedom to run your day-to-day nursery, while working hand-in-hand with our supportive executive team who are always there to offer guidance, resources, and a helping hand.
Together, we will focus on:
- Welcoming Families: Leading friendly parent show-rounds and helping our new community grow toward our 65-place capacity.
- Nurturing a Team: Helping recruit, mentor, and lift up a brand-new team of dedicated practitioners, creating a kind and supportive workplace.
- Creative Learning: Overseeing a beautiful, child-led curriculum that aligns naturally with EYFS practices.
- Keeping Children Safe: Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to ensure our nursery is a secure, happy haven for every child.
- Building Partnerships: Creating warm, open relationships with parents and carers so they feel like part of the family.
- Smooth Running: Managing the day-to-day administration, budgets, and resources with the help of our established brand systems.
What We Are Looking For
We know that leadership takes time and heart. We are looking for someone who brings:
- Qualifications: A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (Level 5, 6, or EYTS is preferred but not essential).
- Experience: A background as a Nursery Manager or a confident Deputy Manager ready to step up, ideally in a medium-to-large setting (50+ places). Experience with new site launches is a plus, but we will fully support you through the process.
- Knowledge: A sound working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework, Ofsted criteria, and safe recruitment.
- Skills: Excellent listening and communication skills, a gentle but effective and consistent leadership style, and experience with nursery management software and financial budgeting.
- Heart: An organised, proactive, resilient, and caring professional who genuinely loves early years education.
Our Promise to You (Rewards & Benefits)
We want you to feel valued and supported. Your package includes:
- A highly competitive base salary with a rewarding, achievable bonus structure.
- A dedicated budget for your own continuous professional development (CPD) and leadership coaching.
- A generous childcare discount for your own family.
- Company pension scheme.
- True partnership: A friendly executive team that trusts your judgment, gives you autonomy, and celebrates your wins.
