Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and maintain the cleanliness and organisation of our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all areas are hygienic, tidy, and presentable, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable, though training will be provided for the right applicant. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting with a focus on high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal areas to meet health and safety standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is stored correctly after use
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Follow health and safety procedures to minimise risks during cleaning activities
- Ensure that public areas are spotless and welcoming for all visitors and staff.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures
